Vocational Instructor
Facilitates PRE- ETS programs and oversees daily program issues of vocational instructor assistant to ensure quality services are provided. Develop methods for increasing employability skills and finding ways to overcome vocational barriers in a real work setting. Maintains records of attendance and productivity, participating in planning and assuming responsibility for quality control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitates PRE-ETS curriculum with individuals .

Revises curriculum as needed.

Ensure provision of service in compliance with all internal and regulatory quality assurance and corporate compliance standards.

Trains and supervises individuals working or volunteering in community placements.

Participates in the development and refinement of a vocational curriculum for individuals.

Trains and supervises students working or volunteering in community placements.

Participates in in-service training programs as required.

Coordinate vocational referrals by completing intakes, eligibility documentation, preparing summary of individual intakes, in addition to making recommendations.

Prepares reports, and makes recommendations or determinations based on analysis.

Reviews, case notes and monthlies to ensure they are accurate and timely.

​Ensure procedure for securing billing and related documentation is followed.

Monitor implementation of internal ISP plan tracking system to ensure acquisition of accurate documentation.

Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings.

Conduct site visits and complete observational assessments in order to assist staff with technique, resources and determine continued needs for the individual.

Conduct individual meetings with individuals we support, Family/residential providers to determine interests, skills and concerns about employment.

Conduct or review observational and/or situational assessments.

Educate individuals we support and families to further provide education and advocacy on their behalf to employers and members of the community. Provide assistance with benefits and entitlements as needed.

Coordinate Job Development Activities, i.e., canvas potential employers, develop resumes for program participants, counsel individuals on job readiness, arrange interviews and accompany participants to interview, maintain and follow-up with employers after interviews.

Record all contact made to each employer.

Responsible for keeping all quality control records in an orderly and easily accessible manner, to include satisfaction surveys, reports, checklists, complaint responses, etc.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or Associate’s degree or sixty (60) college credits in a related fields and (2 ) two years’ experience in service delivery to people with different disabilities.

Experience in drafting and implementation of quality control plans.

Understanding of the medical and psychological aspects of various disabilities.

Ability to tolerate interruptions and still be able to prioritize and focus to meet standards of quality in accuracy, attention to detail and time constraints.
